What it does

The Vault stores a SHA-256 hash of your document and anchors that hash to a public blockchain. This creates tamper-evident, timestamped evidence that a specific document existed in a specific form at a specific time. The document content itself is stored in encrypted file storage controlled by you.

What it does not do

• It does not grant or establish any intellectual property right.
• It does not replace a patent, trademark, copyright, or design registration.
• It does not guarantee novelty, priority under any patent system, or admissibility as evidence in any court or office.
• It does not protect against independent invention or third-party filings.

Evidentiary value

Whether a blockchain timestamp is accepted as evidence depends on the jurisdiction, the forum, and the rules of evidence. Verixa makes no representation that any Vault anchor will be accepted in any specific proceeding. Consult a licensed practitioner for advice on protecting your IP rights.

Reliability

Blockchain networks can fork, reorganize, or experience outages. Verixa is not liable for failures, delays, or rejections of the anchoring process. Failed anchors will be retried but successful anchoring is not guaranteed.
